PROJECT PROFILE

In order to achieve the Vision 2030, Kenya Revenue Authority is expected to play a critical role in mobilizing funding for not only infrastructure development but also the deepening of savings and investment in the country. This flagship project therefore will involve the expansion of the mandate of the KRA into the Single Revenue Collector for the government revenue in order to strengthen revenue collection and mobilization to fund the Vision 2030.

PROJECT PROGRESS

Negotiations with NSSF completed and now collecting revenue on behalf of NSSF

 

OBJECTIVE

During the MTP2 the legal changes will be made to underpin this consolidation and reform the mandates of current non-tax revenue collecting agencies to have these institutions focus more on service delivery and investment.  This will ensure concentration of effort on their respective core mandates with resultant benefits to customers and stakeholders of such institutions.
