This is a policy that aims to ensure that women have at least 30 per cent representation in recruitment, promotion and appointment at all decision making levels so as to increase female participation and representation.

Affirmative action policy. 2 reports on 30% Presidential directive on affirmative action; 4 meetings on dissemination of bi-annual reports on 30% affirmative action.
 

PROJECT PROGRESS

Analysis of data from line Ministries and Parastatals on compliance level of 30%. Presidential directive on affirmative action done and reports produced. Six dissemination fora on 30% affirmative Action held.

Baseline Survey Report on perception of voters towards voting for women standing for elections in place and disseminated. Database on recruitment, promotions and political appointments of women in the Public Service in place.

Recommendations submitted for 30% Affirmative Action on employment of women in the public service to be enacted. One proposal prepared and submitted to Kenya Law Reform Commission.

To increase the number of female participation and representation.
