Kenya National Transport Master Plan (NATMAP)

This project is to be completed within two years of initiation and will be linked to the National Spatial Plan. It will aim at ensuring that investment and location of transport infrastructure and
services are consistent with public policies while ensuring optimal transport infrastructure investment to position Kenya as the most efficient and effective transport hub of the East and Central African region.

Impact

50 year Integrated National Transport MasterPlan
Facilitate improvement and expansion of transport infrastructure in a manner that will reduce transport costs and also open new frontiers for economic development.
Provide the Government and the private sector with a systematic decision-making tool for investment in transport infrastructure over the next 50 years.
Institutional capacity- building to manage roads, ports and air, sea and land transport systems with a view to improving efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery and enhancing revenue- earning capabilities.
