In collaboration with ICT incubators at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya College of Communications Technology (KCCT), and Strathmore University (SU), the Ministry is implementing a project to assemble a low cost PC for the local market. The project is intended to provide an incubation environment for students in local universities. In addition, it will give Kenyans access to affordable, robust PCs and create a market which will not only provide hardware and software products, but also create an environment where these products can be developed and manufactured. It will also facilitate the provision of after- sale and maintenance services.
