The Natural Products Programme

The programme aims at building a vibrant natural products industry through
development and exploitation of an interface between indigenous knowledge and modern science, technology and innovations. This will promote home-grown innovations that will lead to development and manufacture of niche products that meet national and international standards.
The key programmes to be implemented include: documentation, profiling and securing of indigenous knowledge, technologies and associated biological resources; scientific testing and validation.
