To prepare a Transport Master Plan; prepare land use plan and integrate with the transport plan.
The Government has laid down plans for the development of a rapid bus transport system, starting with the following three transport corridors:
- First is the Athi River Town to Kikuyu Town (approximately 38 km);
- Second is Thika Town to the Central Business District (approximately 50 km); and third
- Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to the Central Business District (approximately 25 km).
