Population Registration and Immigration Services

The objective of this programme is to “establish and operationalize an Integrated Population Registration Database System (IPRS) and key supporting systems for Kenya”. Beyond the IPRS -identified earlier as a flagship project – the key projects identified for this programme are:

• Introduction of Third-Generation ID Card;
• Improve Births and Deaths Registration Certificate System;
• VISA Issuing System;
• Biometric Passport System; and
• Border Management System.

All these systems will be linked through the flagship IPRS project.
