Distinguished Participants;
Ladies and Gentlemen;
I welcome and thank you for accepting our invitation to the 7th Knowledge Sharing and Validation Workshop for Annual Flagship Progress Report for 2019/2020.

The Knowledge Sharing Workshop is an annual event that brings
together Ministries, Departments and Agencies to deliberate on
implementation of Vision 2030 to deliberate on the best way to fast track
the achievement of the Vision. This workshop provides a platform for
sharing experiences, emerging practices and new knowledge.
This year’s theme “Delivering Amidst Disruptions” was chosen taking
cognizance the disruptions brought about the Covid -19 Pandemic. This
forum will therefore deliberate on how to deliver on our mandates albeit
the disruptions brought about by black swan events.
To entrench a culture of progress reporting and in line with our mandate
of monitoring and evaluating progress of Vision 2030 flagship projects the
Secretariat is in the process of finalizing the progress report for FY
2019/2021.
It is in this context that VDS together with the MDA’s present will undertake validation of the progress report.

Ladies and Gentlemen;
As I conclude I take this opportunity to acknowledge and sincerely thank
Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate for the technical support and
efforts towards the development of this report.

At the Secretariat, we remain committed to spearheading implementation
and realization of Vision 2030 goals and objectives. We look forward to
having the report finalized, published and disseminated to the stakeholders; not only to inform policy formulation, but also to enhance participation by all Kenyans towards achievement of the Vision.
Thank you
