Mr. Mulama is a distinguished professional with over 20 years of proven expertise in supply chain management. He is a certified member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and possesses a robust academic background , holding an MBA in procurement and supply chain from the University of Nairobi, a master’s degree in Economics and Cooperation from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, India, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics, cooperation,community development and extension from Agra University, India.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mulama has demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational excellence across diverse sectors, including procurement, shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution. He has held pivotal positions in renowned organizations such as P&O Nedlloyd East Africa Limited (now Maersk Shipping), Kuehne+Nagel, Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), CMC Motors Group Limited, and Marie Stopes Kenya. His extensive experience has equipped him with the ability to deliver innovative supply chain solutions that consistently drive value and efficiency.
Mr. Mulama is responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing comprehensive procurement and disposal plans in line with the organizations objectives. He adeptly oversees the procurement of goods, works, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality compliance, and timely delivery. His role involves cultivating strong supplier relationships and effective contract management aimed at supporting business continuity and enhanced operational efficiency in strict adherence to the public procurement Act and regulations. His expertise in process improvement drives continuous enhancement within the supply chain, optimizing processes, boosting efficiency, and reducing costs.
